Ms. Quinlivan graduated from the University of Denver, College of Law, in May 2005, and is admitted to the Colorado State Bar, Wyoming State Bar and in the U.S. District of Colorado. In 2001 she received her bachelors’ degrees from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in Government – International Affairs and Communications. Prior to entering law school, Ms. Quinlivan lobbied for the American Coalition for Ethanol and was a grant writer for the Southwest Minnesota Housing Partnership.
As a law student, Ms. Quinlivan was recognized for excellence in trial advocacy, earning the American Jurisprudence Award for the highest grade in Trial Practice and Advanced Trial Practice. She participated in the Civil Rights Clinic, drafting written opinions related to police misconduct and advising members of the Public Safety Review Commission. Ms. Quinlivan was active in moot court, traveling with the International Appellate Team for two years and competing in the Hoffman Trial Advocacy Competition, the Negotiations Competition and the Client Counseling Competition. In addition, she interned for the Denver Public Defenders Office, the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar Parole Project, and the Honorable William D. Robbins, who was assigned to a domestic relations docket.
Before entering the private sector, Ms. Quinlivan was a law clerk and staff attorney for the Colorado Court of Appeals. In 2007, she joined Senter, Goldfarb & Rice, LLC as a litigation associate. There, she practiced in a variety of areas including workers’ compensation, as well as governmental entity and municipal law, products liability, premises liability, and professional malpractice. As an associate she authored several successful dispositive motions and co-authored an appellate brief to the Colorado Court of Appeals resulting in a published opinion, Yeiser v. Ferrellgas, Inc., 214 P. 3d 458 (Colo. App. 2008). Ms. Quinlivan is experienced in settlement negotiations, taking and defending deposition testimony of witnesses and experts, and she has victoriously first-chaired a trial.
As the Senior Litigator at the Gaiennie Law Office, Ms. Quinlivan is detailed oriented and thorough in her handling of all areas of litigation, including car and motorcycle accidents, wrongful death claims, pedestrian accidents, premises liability, slip and fall accidents and workers’ compensation. As a litigator Ms. Quinlivan has fought zealously and successfully at trial and in at workers’ compensation hearings against insurance companies, employers and defendants for her clients. She combines her passion for justice and her compassion for people to take on the most challenging cases across Colorado and Wyoming.
Ms. Quinlivan was born and raised in Minnesota. She relocated to Denver, Colorado in 2002 to attend law school. She enjoys all that the Colorado outdoors has to offer, including skiing, running, hiking and camping. Ms. Quinlivan also regularly volunteers for the Metro Volunteer Lawyers and the Colorado Humane Society.
